DescriptionEBS automates Electricity Billing and Revenue collection System and associated activities which are i) Creation & maintenance of consumers database ii) Entry of monthly meter readings iii) Generation of monthly bills iv) Bill payments and other receipts v) Generation of various reports and vi) Maintenance of electronic ledgers etc. The project started on a pilot basis in 2006. EBS is implemented in Imphal Electrical Division-I. Bills and Payment information for the consumers are available online. Process for rollout to the following 3 more divisions is underway.
